Why is the Iranian Embassy Supporting Japan’s Revenge? Netizens are Shocked!

The Iranian Embassy in China released an AI-generated video on the evening of the 29th, claiming to help Japan take revenge on the United States for the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan during World War II. This announcement caused many Chinese netizens to feel confused and distressed due to China and Iran’s friendly relations but hostility toward Japan.

In the video uploaded by the Iranian embassy’s Weibo account, AI-generated clips of Hiroshima, Indigenous Americans, Vietnam, Yemen, Palestine-Gaza, Epstein Island, and Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei appear, with Iran stating it seeks revenge for all these “victims.”

The idea of Iran avenging Japan has left many Chinese citizens feeling overwhelmed, with numerous negative comments saying, “Japanese people don’t deserve this,” “Japan had it coming,” and “Crying over the wrong grave, brother.” Some even suggest that this reflects Iran’s lack of respect for China and that their relationship is merely a trade connection.

After a flood of angry comments from Chinese netizens, the Iranian embassy in China updated the video content, removing the segment about Hiroshima.
